Cleanup pt 3 - Headlight

The headlight is an excellent example of the build quality on these old bikes.

The ring around the front is still really shiny. I think it is polished stainless steel, but may be chrome plating. Either way it looks good for being this old. There is only light oxidation around the whole ring.

With only a little bit of elbow grease - and the metal polishing compounds - that easily cleaned up nice and bright.

The rear housing of the headlight is powder coated steel. There is only some dirt and grease and a few scuffs. Nothing going through the powder coating. It's not perfect, but it's pretty good.
To clean that up, all I needed was some Simple Green and a microfiber cloth.

Here's the whole unit cleaned up and reassembled. Look at that shine!!!

This is easy! What's next?
